Training-action around social projects

The social projects of our social residences were for the great majority, developed at the time of the transition from the Home of Migrant Workers to a social residence, between 1996 and 2004.
In view of the evolution of the public and the territories, it seemed important to us that those in charge of residences take more ownership of the social project to dialogue with the public and the partners in their territory.
Consequently, from June to December 2019, we offered our employees support - in the form of action training - also thanks to the support of DIHAL / CILPI.
The philosophy of the proposed project approach is based on that of participatory projects inspired by popular education.
The "social project", the keystone of the social living space (the residence), is based on a transversal approach to meet both the needs of users and collective social expectations. . It is a privileged moment to observe the development of the residence and its local environment, exchange points of view between the different actors ( residents, employees , partners ), reflect on the meaning of its action and define priorities for a multi-year period.
The development phase of the social project strengthens the collective life of the structure, allows reflection on the meaning of its action . It is also a benchmark document that sets out the structure's commitments. It is established according to social issues and available resources. It concretely translates the aims and missions of the social life space into an action plan and the expected changes.
The dynamic instilled by this approach proves the interest of working on the social project of residences as a tool giving back meaning to the action and translating the aims and missions of our establishments.
2020 will be the year of the implementation of the actions necessary to improve the quality of our residences.
